Find your lucky colour with these Chinese New Year manicure ideas
With less than a month until Chinese New Year, it’s time to figure out what you’re going to wear. We’ve put together some gorgeous manicures sorted into five lucky colours for the various Zodiac signs to get you inspired
#1 BLUE
Lucky for: Monkey, Tiger, Rat
A matte blue nail is incredibly sleek. The glossy French tip gives it a more polished look, but is entirely optional as it can be difficult to perfect on your own.
This foil and bling set from The Nail Artelier has gorgeous blue accents. Keep the bling limited to discreet gold studs for a more toned down manicure.
#2 RED
Lucky for: Snake, Goat, Dog, Rabbit
This nail set from Nailed You Good is so adorably retro. We love the pop of colour from the cyan accent.
Sometimes you just want a simple manicure with a couple of standout nails. This one is a fuss-free option that can be easily achieved at home with some nail foil.
#3 GREEN
Lucky for: Ox, Rat, Horse
We love a good negative space manicure, and this one has a bonus “sweater” textured accent nail. Do note that it’s important to have healthy nails before trying a negative space mani, so it’s probably best to avoid one just after a gel manicure.
This dark jewel-toned mani is stunning if you want something a little more glam. The matte black nails make a great base for getting your bling to stand out.
#4 GOLD
Lucky for: Dragon, Pig, Rooster
If you don’t want to go full-on metallic with your nails, try this cute alternative. Gold artwork on a pale neutral nail looks sweet and chic.
Not into freehand designs? Try nail stamping instead! Love the gold origami pattern stamped over a white nail bed.
#5 WHITE
Lucky for: Monkey, Dragon
I can’t get enough of the sweater nail trend. It might have been too much of a Winter trend for Singapore but really, most of us work in really cold offices so why not? The gradient glitter and gold studs are a stylish addition.
A simple manicure with a touch of bling is all you need to accessorise your hands, and this white mani looks glamorous without coming off as too “bridal”.
