Singapore fashionistas do have to thank Asia's inaugural Men's Fashion Week (MFW) for this new honor. The MFW held in March was the first in Asia, and only the third of its kind in the world, which certainly helped boost Singapore's fashion quotient.
The MFW presented shows by big name brands such as Hugo Boss and Shanghai Tang, as well as a range of up-and-coming Asian designers such as Gil Homme from Korea, Jail.Jeans from Philippines and JBB* from Thailand.
Also lending some weight to Singapore's fashion stakes was the annual Audi Fashion Festival which was held in April, as well as the impending opening of H&M in September, the chain's first outlet in Southeast Asia.
