Fashion Week: Come for the Clothes, Stay for the Turtle Sex
Kanye West's Fashion Week presentation was held at Madison Square Garden in front of tens of thousands of people and broadcast to millions on the Jay Z-backed streaming site Tidal. It was shown in conjunction with the release of his newest album, The Life of Pablo. The entire Kardashian clan, decked out in white custom Balmain, attended. It was a big deal.
But there was no turtle sex.
That distinct honor went to a smaller affair, the presentation for upstart designer Mathieu Mirano, set against arid scenery that included a sandy floor, a painted sunset backdrop, and tortoises playing slap and tickle, reports Page Six.
Sly magazine lived up to its name by posting a picture of a model in a beautiful, beaded floor-length sheath in the foreground and two 200-pound tortoises doing the nasty in behind her. "A large male began pursuing a smaller female tortoise around the models, who stood still posing in the sand," one anonymous onlooker told Page Six. "One model could barely hide her giggles as the determined male followed the female past her feet, and he then proceeded to climb aboard."
Turtle sex—it's the new black!
